Description
It may look like an impressive rack of antlers to you or me, but not to the females in a Roosevelt Elk herd near Eatonville, Washington, USA. Other bulls competing for dominance in the autumn rut are larger and have more impressive racks than this juvenile elk, who will shed his rack this winter and grow a new and hopefully more impressive rack next year. Hope springs eternal.
