I love Your blue Heron .we have them here as well in georgia i always like to watch them and see what they come up with, frogs,snakes,rodents,fish Its amazing how big of a snack these birds can eat !

How in the world did you ever get so close??? This is a great shot. The feather detail is awesome. You filled the frame perfectly and the eye/face area is well lit--what a good job!!

Thank you! I spent about an hour with this bird, inching ever closer until I felt to come closer would cause it to take flight. Then it started inching toward me. I used fill-in flash to keep it from being silhouetted, and the flash didn't seem to bother it.
