Artist's Description
An iconic view of Yosemite Valley, the heart of Yosemite National Park in California, USA. The large gray monolith is a solid piece of granite known as El Capitan, rising 3,300 feet above the valley floor. The pointed peak on the right is Half Dome - like El Capitan, solid granite and a favorite for rock climbers. The thin trace of Bridalveil Falls can be seen beneath and to the right of Half Dome. The valley owes its majestic ship and look to glaciation a series of Ice Ages.

Sean Griffin (b. 1949- ) is an award-winning American fine art and portrait photographer who divides his time between the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States and the lush Sonoran Desert of Arizona. His work has been recognized by The Smithsonian, among others. In addition to his paid work, he is a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a non-profit organization providing remembrance photos for families whose babies will not be coming home from the hospital. Donations of his art have benefited the Susan Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, the Seabury School, the Nisqually Nature Center and the Anderson Island Historical Society.
