Artist's Description
Today the town of Union, Washington has 416 people. In 1924 it had a handful when Edwin Dalby brought a waterwheel from Seattle and used it to generate electricity for a half dozen cabins and for his workshop. Other sources of electricity replaced Dalby's waterwheel in the 1940s, but the wheel has continued to turn through the decades.
