I was walking near a stream in a wooded area near Malakwa, British Columbia when I came across this pair of embracing mushrooms lifting their heads to the sky. There was a delicacy about it that was quite appealing.

Sean Griffin (b. 1949- ) is an award-winning American fine art and portrait photographer who divides his time between the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States and the lush Sonoran Desert of Arizona. His work has been recognized by The Smithsonian, among others. In addition to his paid work, he is a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a non-profit organization providing remembrance photos for families whose babies will not be coming home from the hospital.
