Description
A Columbia Black-tailed Deer fawn rests during the heat of a summer day as its mother grazes some distance away. A fawn's coat, with dappled spots like sunlight filtering through a forest canopy onto the forest floor, leaves it so well camouflaged that the best survival strategy is to leave it alone for long periods while the less-well camouflaged adults graze elsewhere.

Aw . . . So pretty. So peaceful. Nice capture, Sean. I just returned from a week in your beautiful state and was thrilled to see four deer.
