Artist's Description

Some of the clearest and bluest - and deepest - waters on Earth fill the caldera of ancient Mount Mazama's, whose cone collapsed when it erupted and the resulting bowl filled with water. Today, the area is known as Crater Lake National Park.

Sean Griffin

Sean Griffin (b. 1949- ) is an award-winning American fine art and portrait photographer who divides his time between the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States and the lush Sonoran Desert of Arizona. His work has been recognized by The Smithsonian, among others. In addition to his paid work, he is a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a non-profit organization providing remembrance photos for families whose babies will not be coming home from the hospital. Donations of his art have benefited the Susan Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, the Seabury School, the Nisqually Nature Center and the Anderson Island Historical Society.
