Artist's Description
The Evangelische Lutherische Kirch, often regarded as the smallest functional church in the United States, lies in Elbe, Washington along the highway that leads to Paradise, Washington in Mount Rainier National Park. Also known as The Little White Church and the Church on the Road to Paradise, it was built in 1876 by German immigrants, is 18' x 24' and has a capacity of 46.
About Sean Griffin
Sean Griffin (b. 1949- ) is an award-winning American fine art and portrait photographer who divides his time between the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States and the lush Sonoran Desert of Arizona. His work has been recognized by The Smithsonian, among others. In addition to his paid work, he is a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a non-profit organization providing remembrance photos for families whose babies will not be coming home from the hospital. Donations of his art have benefited the Susan Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, the Seabury School, the Nisqually Nature Center and the Anderson Island Historical Society.
