Description
When it was built in 1914, the Smith Tower was the tallest building west of the Mississippi, and held that crown for two decades. And it remained the tallest building on the west coast until construction of the Space Needle for the World's Fair in 1962. The building is in a neoclassical style, with marble and terra-cotta surfacing that has only been washed once in its 100-year history. Photograph captured with an iPhone 5.
