Description
There are scenic highways all over the country, but one of the most stunning is the Mount Hood Highway along the crest of the Cascade Range in western Oregon. At more than 11,000 feet high, it is the highest and most prominent geographic feature in the state. It had a minor eruptive event in 1907, but it's been 220 years since its last major eruption.
