Description
For nearly 1,000 years, the Hohokam people irrigated and farmed the Sonora Desert in southern Arizona, building large settlements such as these near Coolidge, at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. This image depicts, foundation and walls of some of the secondary buildings at the site, which was abandoned about 1450 AD.
